02/11/21 Notable Meal - Literally I Was In Love

Updated: Feb 19, 2021

Again this was another lazy day for me because I had my midterm to complete for the rest of the day, (just two essays due at midnight), so didn't want to spend too much time in the kitchen looking for food and trying to make myself a whole meal. So I wanted to try something I've never tried before! Avocado toast! The only history I have with this boujee brunch meal is from a Mac Demarco interview where he shredded the concept of $15 avocado toast, and from my girlfriend going crazy over it when she makes it so on a whim, I saw some avocados in my fridge and decided to make it and I was floored! The creaminess from the avocados, with the crispy toasted potato bread I used and the egg was like an amazing combo. Especially with my addition of lemon pepper seasoning on the avocado and the Himalayan salt with crushed peppers on the eggs, the subtle flavors just made it complete. The night before I had a moment of existentialism, and talked it out with my best friend and I took a second to sit outside of my house and take in the surrounding nature. With 21 units, graduation coming soon, job concerns, and like the concept of time going by so fast; I just needed a moment to cool off and take things slow. So I enjoyed my simple brunch, with a cup of orange green/black tea, and took a good hour break just sitting outside thinking about everything happening around me.

For the rest of the meals this day, I'm sure it wasn't memorable considering that I had to finish my essays and in addition to that, I had to finish a quiz and lecture notes because the coming weekend was a family camping trip so I had no time to spare this day. But so far, I still felt great.
