02/26/21 Notable Meals - Busy and Yummy Day! But... With A Catch?

ANOTEHR DATE WITH BAe. But this was because my partner had a research appointment in LA that took more than 4 hours to get it over with but regardless, we still ate good.

These Korean Cheese Dogs are from the California Market Plaza, it is just a rice flower corndog stuffed with cheese drenched in any of the sauces you'd like. I got the fancy corn dog with chunks of potato on the batter, but my partner ended up stealing it from me and I got their lame one instead haha.

So since my partner was also trying to not eat any meat during their Lent. We were on the look for a vegetarian friendly restaurant! So we went out to BCD Tofu House in LA, and ordered a vegetarian soup. BUT....

NOTHING WAS VEGETARIAN! THE MENU STATED IT WOULD BE BUT THEY GAVE US A WHOLE FISH. PICKLED CLAMS, FISH OIL KIMCHI, AND FISH CAKES?!?!?!?! You know, I have a right to sue or just complain but considering how we are both environmental studies majors we knew that it would be more wasteful to ask them to give us a "meatless" option instead as they would have to throw away the food entirely. So we both ate it, this was the first time I cracked not because I wanted to but because OF POOR RESTURANT MANAGEMENT.

THE SOUP EVEN HAD CHUNKS OF BRAISED BEEF IN IT.

Basically, if anyone is in LA reading this, and you are vegetarian. Do not go to BCD Tofu house, it definitely was not.
